Our client, a leading residential developer based in Kent, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their growing team. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential projects, they are looking for a professional who has extensive experience managing volume residential builds from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage multiple residential construction contracts from start to finish, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Coordinate with internal teams (design, procurement, and commercial) to ensure smooth project execution.
Work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to maintain project schedules and resolve issues promptly.
Implement health, safety, and environmental procedures in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
Monitor project budgets and costs, ensuring projects are delivered within financial targets.
Prepare and manage project reports, including progress updates, risk assessments, and cost control measures.
Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring quality and compliance with legal requirements.
Maintain strong communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns to ensure complete satisfaction.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role, specifically within the volume residential sector.
Strong understanding of residential construction contracts, budgeting, and scheduling.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
Degree in Construction Management or a related field (preferred but not essential).
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
